Yin Yoga is designed to help you maintain joint and connective tissue health at any time of life. Yin Yoga is a nourishing practice, poses are held longer than in usual practice according to the ability of the individual. As well as the physical benefits, Yin Yoga is also about the cultivation of attention. In this practice we focus on our bodies, breath, flow of energy and state of mind. As we connect to the breath we notice the ebb and flow of sensations in the physical body, recognising the spaciousness of the mind, as well as the thoughts moving through it. This slow, meditative practice has many benefits to develop a strong sense of self awareness, and a harmonious blend of mind and body connection.
